Congratulations!

We know the results of the INTERSTUDENT 2014 contest! The Jury – chaired by Prof. Włodzimierz Nykiel, rector of the University of Łódź, Chairman of the Internationbal Relation Committee of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP) – selected winners in the BA, MA and PhD studies categories:


BA studies: Vitaliy Smygur (Ukraine), student at Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin
MA studies: Gabrielle Karpinsky (USA), student at Medical University of Gdańsk
PhD studies: Ghanshyambhai Khatri (India), student at Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
The Special Prize went to Hugues Gentillon from Haiti, a PhD student at Medical University of Lodz. He received the highest number of popular votes – 50.314!

The results were announce at the Gala Dinner of the “Foreign Students in Poland 2015” conference in Lublin on 22 January. The winners of the fifth edition of the INTERSTUDENT contest received diplomas and statuettes as well as prizes: tablets offered by Perspektywy Eduction Foundation, Lorus watches by ZIBI company and multimedia atlases from Meridian publishers. The Ewa Paga Foundation funded the prize for the Special Prize winner.

The INTERSTUDENT contest was addressed to the international students at the higher education institutions in Poland who stand out by their above-average performance; organization of charity events, art festivals, participation in the academic life and help their colleagues to feel home in Poland.

The Polish universities nominated 120 candidates for the INTERSTUDENT contest including students from Ukraine, Belarus, India, Albania, China, Haiti, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Israel, Italy, Russia, USA, Canada, Germany, Lithuania, Portugal, Pakistan, Romania, Serbia, Japan, Egypt, Estonia, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq and Uzbekistan.

The INTERSTUDENT Contest was organized by Perspektywy Educational Foundation within the “Study in Poland” program. Prof. Wieslaw Banys, President of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP) extended his honorary patronage over the event.
